Universal Credit

Is a step–by–guide to the process with help files to ensure that users fully understand the intricacies of logging in, inputting the correct details and so on.

The help files also includes tips on monthly budgeting, links to helpful sites, the new rates of benefits and the benefits replaced. The pages are checked monthly to guarantee they are always up-to-date.

The section is extremely comprehensive and will fully prepare users with all the facets of Universal Credit, eligibility and the "Claimant Commitment", which includes the Government's definition together with easy to understand explanations. Other important topics cover if someone becomes employed and how levels of savings, pension payments, monies received from relatives' wills and "windfalls" affect the payments.

The "Universal Credit Awareness" activity may be a person's first encounter with a computer so there are help files that will teach them how to use a mouse and navigate a keyboard with interactive exercises.

"Universal Credit" complements the Government's Digital Assistance agenda and is an invaluable tool for all "Digital Champions" as it offers all of the information for people to become fully conversant in the required online activity.

The topics are covered in help files with a natural progression of starting from Basic IT skills ( i.e. the pre-requisites for setting up a Universal Credit account and Find a job accounts).

The Universal Skills help files feature a natural progression approach.

Each section has an opening page that allows learners to access previous help files in case they have overlooked topics, so there is a constant recap of information. In our experience we understand that some people will not always admit to a lack of knowledge of certain skills sets (the manual phobia).

"Universal Credit" also helps with some levels of English as it has full human English speech and Google Translate buttons on every page. The level of language that the content is written in is no higher than English language Level 1.

The most important aspect of the program is that it will encourage members of the general public to acquire a "personal resilience".
